Our mission is to encourage high

practitioners in the field. The Institute holds an annual Summer Institute in
the Portland Metro area. This conference has been in existence since 1974 and
started in Southern Oregon, originally known as the Southern Oregon Institute of
Alcohol Studies. We are committed to offering the highest quality addictions
treatment training, with the goal of continually advancing professionalism and
best practices of our field.
Northwest Frontier Addiction
Technology Transfer Center (NFATTC)
Located in Salem, Oregon, NFATTC is one of 14 National ATTCs that
work to develop knowledge and application of addiction technology to build
treatment and provider competencies among substance abuse professionals and
allied health professionals throughout the United States & Puerto Rico.

Oregon Prevention Education Recovery Association
OPERA is a statewide, nonprofit association of private sector and tribal
entities who provide treatment, prevention and training services. OPERA IS
