National Association for Children of Alcoholics (NACoA)  
NACoA is the education and advocacy group that works on behalf of the over 11 million children of alcohol and other drug-dependent parents under age 18 in the U.S. Research-based resources are available on the web site to help caring adults learn more about providing support and information for these vulnerable children.

National Association of Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Counselors (NAADAC)  
NAADAC is the largest national organization representing the interests of alcoholism and drug abuse professionals in the nation. The NAADAC web page contains information on current legislation, certification, and membership.

National Council for Community Behavioral Healthcare

Northwest Institute of Addictions Studies
Our mission is to encourage high standards of competence in the treatment of alcohol and other drug dependencies by sponsoring educational programs to improve the skills and knowledge of practitioners in the field. The Institute holds an annual Summer Institute in the Portland Metro area. This conference has been in existence since 1974 and started in Southern Oregon, originally known as the Southern Oregon Institute of Alcohol Studies. We are committed to offering the highest quality addictions treatment training, with the goal of continually advancing professionalism and best practices of our field.

Northwest Frontier Addiction Technology Transfer Center (NFATTC)
Located in Salem, Oregon, NFATTC is one of 14 National ATTCs that work to develop knowledge and application of addiction technology to build treatment and provider competencies among substance abuse professionals and allied health professionals throughout the United States & Puerto Rico.

OPERA: Oregon Prevention Education Recovery Association
OPERA is a statewide, nonprofit association of private sector and tribal entities who provide treatment, prevention and training services. OPERA IS dedicated to ending addiction by ensuring the development and maintenance of the highest quality statewide service systems.
