Willamette Family’s Executive Director is honored…

Hillary Wylie, Executive Director of Willamette Family for the last 17 years, can be proud of her accomplishments, and there are many. One of the latest and most prestigious was the 2005 Outstanding Community Achievement Award presented to her in Salem on December 13, 2005, by the Governor's Council on Alcohol and Drug Abuse Programs. Ann Uhler, Chairperson of the Governor's Council, thanked Hillary and Willamette Family on behalf of the Governor's Council for her invaluable contribution and dedication in the fight to reduce alcohol and drug abuse in the state of Oregon. Erin L. Kelley-Siel, the Health and Human Services Policy Advisor for Governor Kulongoski, made the actual presentation.

We were fortunate to have Ms. Kelley-Siel visit Willamette Family in October of last year, and one of the things she said in her thank you letter to us was,  "I believe it is critical for someone in my position to always remember the lives that are affected by the budget and policy decisions I work on each day. Thank you for allowing me to have faces to attach to those decisions, and thank you for your commitment to improving the lives of women and families in Oregon."

Willamette Family is truly fortunate to be guided by such an extraordinary individual as Hillary who has forged partnerships with State leaders like Ann Uhler and Ms. Kelley-Siel. Hillary's vision and insights have led Willamette Family to become a leader in the field of alcohol and drug abuse treatment, especially for women.

Many congratulations and thank you, Hillary!
