Cutting funding for alcohol and drug addiction treatment punishes our most vulnerable population- our children. This is so evident, it is dishearten-ing that voters and legislators seem not to understand the correlation.
The following editorial published by the Oregonian sums up much of what we in the alcohol and drug treatment field know from first hand experience. We only hope this message gets through to voters and legislators who control the funding that affects the lives of so many children throughout Oregon.
