HOLIDAY MAGIC

Beginning on Halloween, all the way through Christmas, the Holidays are magic at Willamette Family. Each occasion is celebrated with the children and families together at the Women and Children's Center. The hallways are decorated with happy seasonal flair, and everyone awaits the most wonderful time of all...the Holiday Party!

This year over 150 families joined the celebration. Santa, his elves, a magician, music, and toys everywhere lit up each and every face with excitement and anticipation. Proud moms held little ones, and-maybe for the first time in a very long while-felt good about the future.

Staff were there too. Our wonderful chefs prepared a feast that was fit for royalty. Counselors joined in the happy event, and some child welfare workers came by to celebrate with the families they are helping. Some foster moms stopped in to see the children whom they had once cared for, and to share the joy with the children's mothers who are in recovery and have their children back home.

And the community was there as well. Each child felt special and went away with a treasure that was a present from someone like YOU. Thank you for remembering...and may each of you know every blessing in the New Year.
