Grateful for grants...

Willamette Family is grateful for grants awarded the Family Reunion Program and the Child Development Center.

In these very difficult times, the support of private foundations and community donations truly make the difference in whether certain services can continue. We are especially grateful to the following foundations who have stepped forward this past quarter to award grants for the Family Reunion Program  and the Child  Development Center:

The Chambers  Family Foundation: Awarded a $25,000 grant to help support our Family Reunion Program and to allow these critical services to include fathers who are successfully engaged in substance abuse treatment. This second-year award has provided the stability and essential resources that have helped so many children and families stay together, safely and in recovery.

The Oregon Community Foundation and the Elizabeth S. Holden Fund: Awarded $25,000 for our Family Reunion  Program. This is the third and final year that we will receive this funding, and we want to recognize that it has been a cornerstone in our ability to launch this remarkable program. It wouldn't have been possible without this help.

The Eugene Active  20-30 Club: Purchased a new toddler-sized, outside  play structure for our Child Development Center. Wow! The old equipment was weather worn and in need of replacement. The new structure will give the little ones a wonderful play structure that will last for years.

Kohl's Department Store: Donated "person hours" and materials for a new sandbox that is much loved by the children at Willamette Family.

Shadow Hills Country Club: Awarded a third year grant to support the Family Reunion Program. This funding makes these services available for five families who otherwise would not have this help. Each year, their Holiday Auction has donated part of its proceeds to this program.

Siuslaw Financial Group: Always stepping forward as a community partner, Siuslaw Financial Group once again generously contributed support that will help sustain the family services in our treatment and recovery programs.

Thank you all for helping to save lives and restore families.
