The Willamette Family Research and Evaluation Department collects data relevant to program evaluation and institutes research in the agency pertaining to mental health, complex trauma, and substance abuse and its effects on clients’ lives and the greater community.
The department has successfully completed several National Institute of Drug Abuse (NIDA) Clinical Trials and is involved in many small grant projects. It also performs the data and evaluation components for all our large grants, including numerous client interviews and national data sharing responsibilities as specified in all the research projects.
Willamette Family has grants and joint projects with OHSU (Oregon Health & Science University), SAMHSA (Substance Abuse & Mental Health Services Administration), NIH (the National Institute of Health), UCSF (University of California-San Francisco) and the NCTSN (the National Child Traumatic Stress Network).
