Residential Treatment
Willamette Family provides intensive residential treatment for chemically dependent women, including those who are pregnant, or who have children ages 0-6. Length of stay varies from 30 days to 6 months. Our approach to treatment is trauma focused and culturally sensitive. Women completing residential treatment are referred to outpatient and aftercare services. Willamette Family has one of the most comprehensive programs available for women in Oregon.
Services include:
- Emphasis on women’s issues including trauma and victimization, life skills, parenting classes, family issues, health and nutrition concerns, relapse prevention, grief and loss, and building support networks.
- On-site child care
- HIV, STD, and hepatitis testing.
- Physical exams and ongoing medical monitoring.
- Pre- and post-natal care.
- Immunizations for all children.
- Family planning.
- Individual and group counseling.
- Family and couples counseling.
- Family and couples counseling.
- Alcohol/drug education information classes.
Clients completing treatment and entering outpatient services may be eligible for one of our Alcohol & Drug Free Housing programs.

Outpatient Services
This program provides gender-specific services and is available to all women. Length of stay varies from 1 to 12 months with the average stay being 9 months. Participants attend 3-5 days per week depending on need. Childcare may be provided.
Services include:
- On-site childcare.
- Relapse prevention.
- Urinalysis monitoring.
- Group and individual counseling.
Case Management:
- Access to pre- and post-natal care.
- Alcohol/drug education.
- Access to 12-step support group meetings.
- Referral to ongoing social services.
Continuing Care
Any person completing one of the Willamette Family programs is eligible to enter Continuing Care, which includes:
- Additional treatment planning, client monitoring, and referrals as needed.
- On-site child care.
- One to three contacts weekly, including group and one-on-one counseling.
